Emily’s got talent and skill, what she doesn’t have is her own blog. Despite my feeble attempts to get her to start one so she can showcase her own work, she has declined over and over! Well lucky for the rest of us, she lets me show it off on my blog!
She had this very trendy circa 1990’s, totally utilitarian kitchen/microwave cart thing, that was purchased at a big box store about a million and half years ago.
She was thisclose to getting rid of it, but after an intense text conversation between her and I where I forbid her to do so important discussion with the design committee she decided to go ahead and keep it, and give it an Oprah style make-over. Great idea!
First thing Emily did was remove the old polyurethane with a sander using 60 grit sandpaper.
(If you’re attempting a similar project, make sure to remove the dust off of every nook and cranny before painting—use a blow dryer if you must!)
She turned the cart upside down (wheels up) to begin painting.
