Mod Podge Wreath

Mod Podge Wreath

The holiday season is officially upon us!  This is my absolute most favorite time of the year!

I thought I could make a Christmas craft using the huge assortment of goodies from Plaid I’d received a few weeks back.  They’d be perfectly paired with a few recent crafting supply finds to make a creative and unique  Mod Podge Wreath for Christmas!

To make this unique wreath I used Outdoor Mod Podge, the Mod Podge 4″ Applicator brush, and FolkArt acrylic paint in red.
I started by brushing the edges of the canvas in the red acrylic paint by FolkArt.  I brushed Mod Podge onto the canvas, and placed the card stock over it.  I added a couple of coats of the Mod Podge over it to seal it using a small foam brush.

Then I wrapped the letters in the red and white striped fabric, sealing them with Mod Podge, of course!
I painted the outer edges of each letter in red.  Next I lightly brushed the Mod Podge onto the top, wrapped the fabric, and added another layer of Mod Podge on top to seal.
Then cut away the extra fabric.

With my glue gun, I joined the letters together.

The final step was to put it all together!
I glued the gold thrift store frame onto the card stock covered canvas.  Then laid the wood letters over the frame, hanging from red satin ribbon that was glued behind the frame to keep it in place.

There are so many crafts to be made with Mod Podge! Be sure to visit their Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter pages for more inspiration!
A very merry Christmas season to you!
