I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starburst. I received product samples to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.
It’s Friday {yay!} so today I’m showing you guys a quick project you can put together in a few minutes over the weekend, Starburst Candy Corn Craft!
I made two small wreaths to flank my Teal and Orange Fall Mantel.
I was inspired by Tori Spelling’s Starburst Candy Corn crafts! She made this adorable Picture Frame craft using Starburst Candy Corn, so I totally copied her! Hey, that’s why she did it right? So people like me could copy cat?!
I didn’t have an old frame on hand so I decided to just use a couple of MDF wreath forms I had lying around instead.
This project is as simple as it looks; simply hot glue the Starburst Candy Corn on to the wreath forms in any pattern you like.
The Starburst Candy Corn is prettier than regular candy corn {in my very humble opinion}, cause it has pink in it! And oh my, do I need to tell you it was DELICIOUS? Let’s just say most of them made their way to the craft, most.
The rest I am keeping in a safe place {like my tummy}.
To finish it off I added a little burlap to the top and wrapped a piece of thin ribbon, all held together with the hot glue.
The color palette in the Starburst Candy Corn blends so nicely with the teal and the orange and white pumpkins, don’t ya think?
To keep the bugs off, and make sure the candy doesn’t melt in the heat {yes it’s still HOT around here–sigh}, I sprayed the wreaths with Mod Podge {click here for another fun project using Mod Podge spray}.
Talk about a simple craft you can throw together in no time! Have fun with this one, and try not to eat all of the Starburst Candy Corn, will ya?

So cute {and perfect for this time of year}! On a completely random, unrelated note, I had a dream last night that Tori Spelling and I were BFF’s. haha

I have small issue. Sprayed wreath with clear gloss spray. Started to melt in heat on first nite. Can I go over it with modge podge now to prevent meltin
Barbara @ Chase the Star says
Hi Holly, I would definitely recommend to keep the wreath in a cool area, away from the heat. So near a fireplace or outside if it’s still hot in your area is probably not a good idea until the weather cools down. The Mod Podge spray worked well for me in cool air.
