I’ve always found that my weight loss plan is the most successful when I start with a healthy and filling low calorie breakfast. Oatmeal is so good for you, but if loaded up with sugar and different toppings, the calories can add up, and quickly! This low calorie Oatmeal recipe is a great way to kick start your day! Since it’s a slow cooker meal, it’ll save more than just calories, you can get some time back in your day too–score!
SLOW COOKER APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL RECIPE
Slow Cooker Apple Oatmeal

- 2 cups Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 Apples (sliced or cubed)
- 2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 3/4 cups Water
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon (plus a pinch extra)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Cooking Spray
|Spray the slow cooker well with cooking spray. Layer all ingredients, DO NOT STIR.|
|Set on low and leave on overnight. Serve in a bowl, add a pinch of cinnamon, enjoy the oatmeal warm.|
Calories: 140, Fat: 2 grams. Makes 8 servings, 3/4 cup each
Be sure to turn the slow cooker off after serving, and place remainder in the fridge. If you want to leave it out then turn the slow cooker down to ‘warm’. I like my oatmeal very sweet, so if you’re like me you can opt to add a packet of Splenda or Stevia. This oatmeal along with a cup of coffee fills me up until at least lunch! Since it’s so low in calories, it can serve as a sweet snack later on too…mmm…enjoy!
