A Unique Easter Wreath!
Hello there! Can you believe that Easter is right around the corner? Wasn’t it just Christmas?! Colored eggs, Peeps (yum!), and pastels are everywhere! I’m already behind on my spring decorating, so today I spent the afternoon making an Easter wreath, hoping I can get some more spring projects in this week (not holding my breath!!).
At Michael’s as I was looking for wreath mold I came across this gorgeousness and just couldn’t pass it up:
LOVELINESS! |
Then it dawned on me..who says my ‘wreath’ has to be a perfect circle, or a ‘wreath’ at all? It was an ‘aha’ moment, complete with a light bulb over my head and everything.
I looked through the aisles making it up as I went along, and threw these items in my cart:
A cute assistant can cut painting time in half |
..then glued some of the glitter balls in a random pattern.
While this dried I began working on the wood plank sign with the same method I used here, and then added a quick coat of white spray paint to it.
More drying time, so I taped all my stencil letters together to form the words for my sign.
Once everything was completely dry I nailed the wood sign on to to the back of the wreath, added the turquoise paint with a foam brush and some black and white striped ribbon I had lying around from an old project.
The true meaning of the holiday!
Do you have other ‘outside the box’ decorating ideas? Leave me a comment…inspire me!

Very cute! I wish I had a michaels that I could recreate! Loved to find something that wasn’t just bunnies and eggs as I’m in australia and its not spring here, so the pastels don’t really work!

I’d recommend their website, but it’s not very good in my opinion. I’m sure you can get these supplies at any craft store, even down under!
