Hi! How are ya?! I wrote this post for my friend Britni’s blog (Hubby Made Me) a couple of weeks back–and since it’s so appropriate for the upcoming 4th of July holiday, I thought I’d share it with you here as well!
This is a super quick, fun, and very inexpensive craft:
Washi Tape Tealights!
If you have about 15 minutes to kill this is definitely the craft for you!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Tealights
{Can you believe I snagged these at Ikea for just .99 for 100?!}
Various rolls of Washi Tape {craft tape}
{as many or as little as you like}
Directions:
Take a tealight and wrap some Washi tape around it.
The end.
Ha! Easy breezy! You can make a zillion of these while you watch your weeknight t.v shows!
I chose these shades because I thought they’d be great for summer. You can come up with lots of different varieties and patterns even!
I think these will be decorating tables at our 4th of July, Labor Day, and summer bbq’s!
What can you decorate with Washi tape this summer?

This is my kind of craft! So cute…totally pinned. Question: where do you get such a great variety of washi? My craft store doesn’t carry a ton of options.
Barbara @ Chase the Star says
Thanks Val! These are from Michael’s actually. That’s the only place around here that I have found it. You can also order some online!
