I’m in the mood for love….
Boy there is a lot of love flowing throughout the great big www. Everyone is making Valentine’s Day crafts, including yours truly! My second Valentine’s Day craft this year is this banner.
(If you missed the first craft, check out the Valentine’s Day Sunburst I made last week)
This is another simple craft that anyone can make in no time at all!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Large notecard (cardstock or thick paper would work too)
Newspaper
Bright paper (I used Astrobrights)
Glue Stick
Mod Podge
Foam brush
Hot glue gun
Thick ribbon
Easy Valentine’s Banner:
Step 1: Make the banner pieces
Step 2: Cut your (little) heart out (get it?). Mod Podge it on to the newspaper cut out (simple apply a thin coat of the Mod Podge over it with the foam brush to seal it)
{I’m sure you can come up with a more sophisticated method than this, but I tend to work with what I have on hand!}
Step 3: Hot glue the ribbon on the back spacing the pieces out as you go, according to where you’ll be hanging it. I chose to go 6″ apart.
I hung it on my mantel!
Sure it’s a little wrinkled, but to me that is part of the charm, it looks hand made, a look I adore!
I am seriously digging the red and turquoise combination the last few months and I just can’t shake it!. There is something about pairing turquoise with a bold red that makes it sizzle!
For more Valentine’s Day crafty inspiration check out what my friends Dinah at DIY Inspired, and Loren at Pandora’s Craft Box are doing!
What color combos are you into this season?
Come back tomorrow to see the rest of the Valentine’s Day Mantel!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post by Astrobrights. I did not receive payment for this rather I received the Astrobrights product mentioned above for free in exchange for mentioning it on my blog. I loved using Astrobrights, but regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
