I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
My youngest is starting Kindergarten this year and I think I’m more excited than he is! He hasn’t a clue what he’s about to embark on (it’s a 12 year sentence–minimum buddy)! He’s looking forward to starting a big school (bigger than preschool) and make new friends, but he doesn’t get how different things will be as he starts this brand new phase of his precious life. Needless to say, this summer I’ve been working on projects and gathering ideas from all over the internet to make this transition as smooth as possible for me, I mean for him :)
During the exciting time of change in our lives, I can’t help but think about kids that aren’t as fortunate. There are many, many kids out there that wind up in the streets and involved in negative situations because they simply didn’t have the guidance, a sense of belonging, and self confidence to do the right thing. The statistics are astonishing! That’s one of the reasons I love the Boys and Girls Club of America! You’ve heard me talk about them before, and it’s because I am such an admirer of the BGCA and how they support our kid’s futures. They are committed to the academic success of their members during the school year and throughout the off season. What a great program! The Boys and Girls Club can’t do any of this without your help though. There are several ways to contribute to this organization’s success, you can donate your time, money, and more resources to help these kids in need. Click here to learn how you can help!
This week I have a couple of recipes coming up to help us start the year right, but for now, check out some of the ‘tools for Back to School’ I’ve worked on throughout the summer!

What ‘Tools’ are you using to ease your family into #BackToSchool?
