I know some of your kids are already back in school, ours go back next week! We’ve been enjoying every inch of summer that is left, but I can’t ignore what lies ahead–packed lunches, homework, books, school supplies and lots of time management (or lack thereof). Those carefree days of summer are just about gone. As you can imagine I’ve been using my spare time to get ready for the upcoming school days. Check out what I’ve come up with, and what I’ve come across on the blogosphere!
First, they have to wear something NEW when they go back to school right? Even if it’s not brand new, it’s usually new to them, because last year’s clothes just don’t fit. I have shopped at lots of places this summer for school clothes, trying to take advantage of end of summer sales and whatnot. Hey in southern California, we have ‘summer’ weather clear into November, so I won’t be putting the shorts away for a few months yet.
I do however have to think ahead of course so I am also finding deals on fall clothes online. Check out this adorable outfit I scored at FabKids. They have a great assortment of fashionable and ultra affordable clothes. Take a look at my son sporting ‘rad’ skinny jeans and cool music tee! If you sign up for FabKids you can get your first outfit for just $15. Yes for both pieces, and yes for the price equivalent of 3 lattes. I measure my expenses in lattes. For example my mortgage is something like 1000 lattes a month. Kidding. Sort of.
More Back to School fashion:
Here is One Artsy Mama‘s little boy, looking ‘strikingly handsome’ in his outfit from JC Penney, if I do say so myself:
I just had to share my little guy’s back to school shopping picture from last year. He’s grown so much!! Tears. Ok, I digress! We got a great deal from Old Navy!
I’m also organizing as much as I can because let’s face it, when school starts with the influx of papers and books, who will have time to tame the mess? Some ideas on how to organize for back to school:
Homework Caddy | Sandy Toes and Popsicles
Personalized Pencil Boxes | Simply Creative Ways
or this pencil case:
Personalized Pencil Case | Chase the Star
DIY Wood Crate Bookcase | Chase the Star
How about some cute crafts you make for your kids lunches, books, and more?

Geometric Paper Bag Text Book Covers | Black and White Obsession
First Day of School Pic Magnet Frame | Chase the Star
Free Printables!

This is what is buzzing around my noggin’ this week as I prep my family for Back to School. How did you get your kiddos ready to head back to class?
Special thanks to FabKids for their promotional consideration. All opinions are 100% mine.
