Merry Christmas my dear friends!
I’m taking a little holiday break, so other than the the features and link party, I won’t be around here much until next week.
Before I go, I wanted to share a few pics of my Christmas decor this year. This is only our 2nd Christmas in this house so I haven’t quite gotten the hang of decking it out for the holidays yet, little by little….
Christmas tree in our living room; we flocked it and kept it simple and clean.
Front door wreath; made it with the scraps from the tree lot, a wire wreath form, floral tape, ornaments and hot glue. A little faux snow so we can pretend we don’t live in sunny California for just a few weeks. For some fun I tied an inexpensive scarf at the bottom.
Wreath behind the front door.
Little Christmas village on the entry way table, hopefully there will be more pieces to this next year!
Just above the entry way table, I draped the twine wreath I used on my fall mantel, just added a coat of silver spray paint to it.
Pine cones and moss balls.
Smaller tree in the dining room; this one holds the kid’s
I didn’t have a tree skirt for it so I bought a yard of fabric and draped it under the tree.
I re-purposed my summer centerpiece by painting the planter red and used wine glasses as votive holders for Christmas dinner. Burlap remnants, pine cones and extra ornaments work great as a filler.
I looked through Pinterest for inspiration on what to write on the chalkboard I made last year on the side of my pantry, and found this one. It was simple enough to replicate free hand, and I think it looks so cute!
There you have it, a little glimpse of Christmas at our house this year.
Wishing each one of you joy and peace this Christmas!
I leave you with the lyrics to my favorite Christmas carol…
God bless!
