The temperature is finally rising, but it’s not too hot for home cooked comfort food. In my opinion any time is a good time for grilled cheese, and when paired with leftover Easter ham and tomato soup, it can downright be the perfect meal.
I love grilled cheese. I love any type of cheese really, but there is something about melted, gooey cheese.
Am I right? I had some leftover Easter ham so I threw it in my grilled cheese and cut it into quarters, so I can share (I didn’t).
On a skewer these Grilled Ham and Cheese Bites are perfect to dip into delicious tomato soup. Or to pass around at get togethers. Or serve up for a tasty brunch. Or, just because–that’s usually the route I take.
Use your favorite bread to make these. I chose Ciabatta because it’s thicker than traditionally sliced bread, but not too thick so that it overpowers the ham and cheese. It’s all about the ham and cheese people, they’re the stars of this show!
This is a great way to use leftover holiday ham, instead of opening the fridge a thousand times a day to sneak a bite, just use it in other recipes. You can add it to mac and cheese, and a million other dishes!
My Semi-Homemade Tomato Soup recipe is the perfect pair for these Ham and Cheese Bites!
