I love spring! Not just because of the great weather, I mean hey, living in socal we don’t get much else (spoiled), but I love spring because this is the BEST candy season!
Nougat filled eggs, Peeps, all sorts of marshmallow chocolate treats. Mmmm, honestly, I can’t wait till Easter sunday! It’s my excuse to act like a kid.
I can indulge (publicly) in Easter treats, paint eggs, and run around the yard hunting for what the big bunny left me, I mean what he left the kids. I also love to make treats for the occasion, it’s another thing I look forward to this time of year.
I will be making Raspberry Brownie Sandwiches, and for the kids, Rice Crispy Bird’s Nests.
I can make them the night before or even the morning before church. The nests come together quickly, and I can even have the kids drop a few chocolate Robin’s eggs in each.
Malted milk eggs are one my faves because they look like pastel Robin’s eggs, and they add enough color so I don’t feel the need to embellish with more. If you’re feeling creative then by all means add more decorations if you like; sprinkles, edible grass, anything goes!
Super easy and cute, the perfect Easter treat!
