Have you ever come across an awesome DIY craft on Pinterest, pinned it, but just never got around to actually making it? I think most of us can say that. Our friends at Michaels know this and have come up with a great solution to get us to release our inner DIY’er, the Make It With Michaels Pinterest Party happening this Saturday at Michaels nationwide. I was one of about 10 lucky crafters that got a sneak peek at the event earlier this week hosted by Sabrina Soto from HGTV. It was so.much.FUN!!!
They set up the classroom at the Michaels in West L.A. with a cute hot chocolate bar, delicious hor’s d’ oeuvres, and best of all crafting!
How cute are these holiday crafts? We all got to make our own version of their Christmas Countdown Charger, mingled and got to know each other.
Our hostess with the mostest, Sabrina Soto from HGTV crafted it up with us, and spent the evening chatting with us. Not only is she a fab designer, but this girl loves to craft! Sabrina is just as cute and sweet in person as she is on tv. Something we discovered: we are both of Cuban descent and grew up in the same area here in SoCal. Seriously, super small world!
I picked up the materials and made my own take on their pretty glittered candle.
I didn’t stop there–I also glittered up a votive candle, and a mason jar lid. Somebody stop the glittery madness! :)
I used these adorable rattan balls dipped in glitter to adorn the front of the candle jar.
Easy Directions:
Pour some glitter out onto a paper plate, brush Mod Podge generously onto the jar and roll it onto the glitter. Wrap the ribbon around the neck of the jar, and slip on one the rattan balls.
This Glittered Candle Jar would work so well with my Burlap and Sparkle Christmas Tree, It’s such an easy project to make, even your non-crafty friends can tackle it!
Will you make it to Michaels this weekend for the Pinterest Party? Which craft would you choose to make?
Thanks to my friends at Michaels for sponsoring this post, all opinions are 100% mine. #madewithmichaels
