It’s fall ya’ll! I made a great craft to add a little sparkle to my autumn decor, Silver and Gold Leaf Pillar Vases. These will look beautiful on my Thanksgiving table, or on my mantel. Best of all, I can use them after fall for Christmas, and beyond!
Silver and Gold Leaf Autumn Pillar Vases
I had every intention to use real silver and gold leaf, but honestly as a newbie to the medium, I chickened out!
I really wanted the look of it though so I found these silver and gold leaf pens at Michaels that promised to give the same effect.
Make these Decorated Pillar Vases easily:
All of the materials were purchased at my local Michaels store!
5 cylinder vases (2 tall, 3 shorter)
Krylon Silver Leafing Pen
Krylon 18kt. Gold Leafing Pen
Electric candles (one for each vase)
For the filler:
I found an assortment of cinnamon scented mini pine cones and pumpkins, but you can also use coffee beans or anything else you like!
Wrap the tape around each vase in a repeating pattern creating stripes or any other design of your choice.
Fill in each stripe with the pens, going over it a couple of times, allowing it to dry completely between each coat.
Once both coats are dry peel the tape off carefully.
Add your filler to the bottom of the vases, and top with the electric candles.
I arranged mine in a straight line, in varying heights. You can also opt for clustering them!
There’s an easy way to add a little glam to your autumn decor, and a little bling to your fall!
