Hey, hey! I’m just about done with the kitchen/dining space minor re-do. I’ll be sharing a couple more projects with you later this week {can you stand the suspense? Ha!}. I’ve been knee deep in paint, tape, levels, nails, hammers, drills, and so many more important tools needed to complete my tasks for weeks!
One of the most relevant tools I use for all of my decorating endeavors is a paint brush. Large or small, angled or straight, the right one can make all the difference.
Use the Right Paint Brush to Get the Job Done
I’ve been working with Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan on many of my projects. I adore the ease of using Chalk Paint®, no sanding or priming, just smooth it on and be done. This simple process is made even easier because I used the right tools, especially the Annie Sloan paint brush.
The brushes are made of pure bristle, they’re awesome for painting and adding texture. It’s oval with a wooden handle allows for easy handling, and the paint goes on smoothly and thick, which to me means, less coats.
You can use the same brush for applying the wax!
This kitchen island was done in just a couple of hours, which included cleaning, taping, and waxing.
Not only did the paint dry super fast, but because the paint brush handle has a great grip, it cuts down on mistakes {and I tend to make quite a few when I paint}.
I am excited to continue to use my Annie Sloan paint brush for more projects like this garage sale chair.
I picked it up for just $5 and gave it a little love with Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan, great fabric, and of course my favorite paint brush ever. Come back later in the week to see the transformation!
What is your go-to tool for DIY projects?
