Hi Chase the Star readers! I am so excited to be here today, sharing a project with you! First, let me introduce myself.
I’m Sarah from Becoming Martha, my little blog that is filled with crafts, DIY projects, tips, tutorials, ideas and more. I have even been known to throw in a recipe or two! Wreaths are definitely my addiction though, so I thought what better way to let you get to know me than by sharing one of my loves? So here we go!
This Halloween wreath is super simple. I really, truly mean that. It’s simple. And quick. You could do this in a naptime and still have plenty of time to eat ice cream and watch Dr. Phil scrub the floors. The longest part is waiting for the spray paint to dry, and that’s inactive time anyway.
Here are the four steps to creating the base of the wreath:
1. Get a twiggy wreath.
2. Spray paint it black.
3. Sprinkle it with black glitter while the paint is still wet.
4. Sprinkle some clear (iridescent) glitter on top. (If the paint dries too quickly, just use spray adhesive.)
To add some sparkle to my already glitterfied (yes, I just made that word up) I used this Halloween sign that I found at the dollar store. I bought two, because I loved all of the colour on the Wicked one, but it ended up not suiting the wreath as well. I cracked the stand off the bottom of the Eek! and then attached fishing line to the back so that I could tie it onto my wreath. I used hot glue to attach the fishing line, since my wreath is going on my mirror, but if you are placing it outside, use a super strength glue, because hot glue will melt on the first sunny day. Trust me, I know from experience.
Then I added some green glitter spiders that you can also find at the dollar store, or pretty much anywhere that has Halloween decor. I just hot glued these straight onto the wreath. Once the glue dries, it’s done. No, I’m serious, you’re done. That’s it. See, I told you it was quick and easy!
Now you have no excuse not to have a fun wreath on your door for Halloween, so go make one! Oh, and stop by Becoming Martha and visit me sometime – I would love to have you!
Thanks for joining me today, and thanks so much to Barbara for having me! You’re awesome!

Love this! I think I will try it. :) Question – how did you get it to hang in the middle of the mirror? Did you hot glue a suction cup to the back? I see something there but can’t really tell from the picture.
