Fall can only mean one thing..PIE! All sorts of pies are in season right now, pumpkin, apple, pecan, and many more.
This time of year is where I do more cooking and baking than any other time. The weather cools down and I’m suddenly in the mood for comfort foods that we can enjoy near a cozy fire as a family. Dessert is always at the top of my list and when it comes to dessert, pie is the way to go.
My favorite pie is the all time classic, apple pie. Its aroma fills homes with the essence of Autumn!
In fact I love all things ‘apple’, so this year I thought I’d make a pie I’d never made before, Apple Butter Pie! It’s creamy, smooth, and just overall magnificent.

I had toyed with the idea of making my own apple butter, but then realized, ain’t nobody got time for that (an imaginary ‘fist bump’ to those of you who do)!
Homemade is always better, but this pie turned out scrumptious and using store bought apple butter didn’t make one bit of a difference in the taste.
The gingersnap crust is the perfect partner to the creamy apple spiced filling. If you’ve never had Apple Butter Pie, you’re in for a treat. You’ll taste ‘fall’ in every bite, I promise!
To me, fall is all about pie! From gathering around a cozy fire with your family to sharing it at Thanksgiving dinner, this Apple Butter Pie recipe is the perfect pie for fall! Apple Butter Pie Recipe
