Most kids love spaghetti, so you can’t go wrong with this easy casserole that you can put together in just about 30-35 minutes.
A healthy home cooked meal that will only look like it took ages to prepare and since you only used one baking pan, and one saucepan, it’s easy clean up too. Depending on the size of your family, you may even have some left over to reheat later in the week. All of this extra time can be spent talking about your day at the dinner table. Or getting a massage–you choose!
- 3/4 or 1 boxes Spaghetti
- 16oz Ground Beef or Turkey
- 1/2 Large Green Pepper
- 24oz Pasta Sauce (store bought in a jar)
- 16oz Sour Cream
- 3 cups Shredded Mozarella
- Garlic Salt (to taste)
- Several Basil leaves (chopped / optional)
|Preheat oven to 400°. |
Make the pasta as directed on the box. In the meantime add the green peppers to the meat and brown it, sprinkle liberally with garlic salt.
Drain the pasta, and add 1/2 the sauce and 1/2 the mozzarella cheese, all of the sour cream, and all of the meat, mix well.
Place the pasta mixture in a 13x9 pan, add the rest sauce on top, followed by the other half of the mozzarella.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or so until the cheese is completely melted. Remove and serve warm.
Optional: Top with fresh chopped basil.
