Thanks to Big G for sponsoring today’s post, and inspiring some fun #SuperHeroing in our house!
Back in the 80’s every day began with a bowl of cereal, it was a fun treat to look forward to every morning. Better yet was opening a brand new box of cereal, because that meant I got to dig (yes dig) for the prize! Every box came with a prize back in the day, and every prize was ah.maz.ing! No matter what it was. To this day I am still a cereal lover, and so is most of my household. It’s disappointing though that cereal boxes don’t come with prizes anymore, have you noticed that? This morning however, my son and I were pleasantly surprised to find a prize in our Big G cereal boxes of Trix and Honey Nut Cheerios!
This is a new concept for him, but for me it stirred up so many great memories! Especially because the prize was a Justice League comic book. Wha? Ok guys, NOW you took me way back (hello, Wonder Woman?!)!
Big G cereals and DC COMICS are teaming up to make your cereal time more fun! From now until the end of April 2014, specially marked boxes of General Mills Big G cereals will include four exclusive collectible in-box comic books featuring various Super Heroes from the JUSTICE LEAGUE! A bonus fifth issue is available exclusively at Target in boxes of Cheerios™. All specially marked boxes also include wearable, cut-out Super Hero costume pieces.
When you look confident, you feel confident! Inspired by Super Heroes, Big G cereals is starting a movement called #SuperHeroing (there really is a hashtag for everything these days!). This encourages kids to sport their cut-out costume pieces from the back of the box and strike a Super Hero pose at breakfast time to gain the confidence they need to tackle the day. How cute is that?! Every kid can use a little boost of confidence, wouldn’t you agree?
My super hero is totally ready to tackle kindergarten (once he puts his shoes on of course)!
Find your prize on inside Big G Cereals, and follow #SuperHeroing on social media and post your own Super Hero pictures! Yes, grown-ups are allowed to participate too!
How do you get your kids ready to tackle the day?

My youngest son would love this ~ cereal and comic books are an awesome combination. I’m going to have to look for these and buy them up while I can.

My cereal love started in the 70’s. I remember reading the back of the cereal box as I ate my morning breakfast.

Cheerios forever! The snore shirt he has on made me giggle next to the “ready to tackle school” bubble. Great post! I took the cereal treats for granted. ;)
