Is it still winter? You wouldn’t know it around here with our temps in the low 80’s. I know it’s cold everywhere else, but in these parts, we’re thinking ahead to spring!
I’ve already started to scope out some new crafting supplies for spring at Michaels.
Have you seen the new line of Peel and Stick Stencils by Mod Podge Rocks? They’re so cute and come in lots of fun designs, like wood grain!
Spring Craft
I used the wood grain stencil to add some bling to a little (and boring I may add) terra cotta pot. How cute is this for spring time?
Make one for yourself!
Materials:
Terra Cotta Pot
Craft Paint
Mod Podge
Peel and stick stencil (wood grain)
Foam brush
Spouncers (optional)
Step 1:
Paint the terra cotta pot in your choice of craft paint. Allow to dry completely.
Step 2:
Place the stencil over the area.
Step 3:
Using the spouncer, lightly dab the Mod Podge over the stencil.
Step 4:
Sprinkle the glitter over the Mod Podge.
Warning: this can be a little messy, but glitter is always so fun!
When I was at the CHA about a month ago I had the opportunity to try out the polka dot peel and stick stencil. That was so much fun, and even better I got to bring home an adorable blinged-up mason jar!
Anything is made better with glitter!
Check out the different varieties of peel and stick stencils here; they are available only at Michaels. Get a head start on spring,, it’ll be here before you can say “Polar Vortex”!
What crafts are you planning on for the spring?
