How’s it going friends? I have been busy updating my kitchen, and I almost forgot to start decorating for Fall. I know that’s not very DIY/craft-blogger like of me. Forgive me please! I finally got my act together and put together the Fall Mantel over the weekend.
Teal and Orange Fall Mantel
Last year’s mantel was very neutral, it’s still one of my favorites!
This year I thought I’d brighten it up a bit and include a non-traditional teal paired up with orange, which I think combine beautifully!
As with most of my projects, this Fall Mantel was so simple to put together! A couple of weeks ago I made a the banner and branch art out of burlap and some Americana paint {click here for that tutorial}.
I bought 3 faux pumpkins from Michael’s {50% off–woot!}, 2 large and 1 small. I used the same paint and stencils {Americana} as the banner to spruce them up!
The rest of the simple decor consists of faux gourds and floral fillers in clear glass vases.
I got a little crafty and made some fun candy corn wall art, come back next week for the full tutorial!
Sometimes it’s fun to go against the grain and a little bold blue to the fall season!
Have you been crafting up a storm to ring in the new Fall season? What color scheme are you working with this Fall?

It looks beautiful Barbara – what a perfect color combination for Fall – the teal is so unexpected but it’s just gorgeous with the orange!
XOXO

I love that Fall banner and might have to borrow the idea for our living room. I just bought some teal and purple pumpkins from Hobby Lobby (those are our colors) and this would go perfectly with them. Thanks for the ideas!
